NPREREQUISITES
To knit this vest, you need to know how to knit and purl, knit in the round, knit flat, cast on stitches using any method, make increases by knitting front and back stitches, make increases for armholes, make decreases, pick up and resume stitches, and bind off stitches with i-cord. It is essential to know how to read charts, as the instructions for knitting the rib and slipped stitch patterns throughout the vest are given only in chart form.
CONSTRUCTION
This vest has a top-down construction, meaning it starts by knitting the neckline flat, closing the neck in the round and continuing until the shoulder increases are finished. Then the front and back are knitted separately to create the armhole openings (you can knit them at the same time), and the front and back are rejoined once the necessary height for the armholes is reached to continue knitting the body in the round. Next, the armholes and neckline are picked up and finished with i-cord. It is made in one piece, with no seams.

Included in this kit. You will need to knit with one strand of alpaca and two strands of mohair held together (3 strands in total)
NEEDLES
4 mm [US 6] circular needles with 40 cm [16"] cables for the neckline and 80 cm [32”] for the body, or the needles necessary to obtain the gauge swatch (unblocked).
