PRIOR KNOWLEDGE
To knit this shawl, you need to know how to do an i-cord cast-on, knit and purl stitches, and lace knitting techniques, as well as how to make increases and decreases. It is also necessary to be able to read charts, as the instructions for knitting the body of the shawl with lace motifs are given only in chart form.
CONSTRUCTION
This shawl is knitted from top to bottom, starting with an i-cord cast-on, from which the stitches are picked up and the entire body of the shawl is knitted. Then, the body stitches are cast off, and the two i-cords at the ends are made.

21 stitches and 30 rows for a 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4”] swatch in stockinette stitch, unblocked.
YARN

3.5 mm [US 4] circular needles with an 80 cm [32"] cable or the size needed to obtain gauge (unblocked).

Tapestry needle to weave in ends, 2 stitch markers for the central motif.
USE AND WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
