To knit this shawl, you need to know how to cast on, knit and purl, make increases and bind off, and handle slipped stitches (those that are slipped without knitting, as if to purl, the technique is no more complicated than that). Most importantly: know how to read charts, as the body of the shawl is worked by following a diagram. If you already have some projects on your needles and charts don't scare you, this shawl is for you!

CONSTRUCTION: This shawl is knitted top-down, starting with a 5-stitch cast on, from which it grows outwards and downwards. Its final shape is triangular.

GAUGE: 28 stitches and 36 rows for a 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4"] swatch in the shawl motif, unblocked. It is very important to maintain this tension throughout the shawl so that the yarn in the kit is sufficient.
