PRIOR KNOWLEDGE
To knit this swoncho, you need to know how to knit knit and purl stitches, knit in the round, cast on stitches using the tubular method, knit German short rows, make increases (the ones normally used for armholes), pick up and resume stitches, colourwork technique, and bind off stitches using the Italian method. It is essential to know how to read charts, as the instructions for knitting the colourwork motif of the yoke are given only in chart form.
CONSTRUCTION
This swoncho has a top-down construction, meaning it starts knitting from the neckline, continues with the yoke, then separates the sleeves and body, and continues knitting the body in the round. Next, the sleeves are picked up and knitted in the round to the cuff. It is made in one piece, with no seams. It is knitted in stockinette stitch in the round, with a colourwork motif on the yoke. The body and sleeves finish with an elastic ribbing.SIZES

4 mm [US 6] circular needles for casting on and ribbing.
