PRIOR KNOWLEDGE
To knit this swoncho, you need to know how to knit and purl, knit in the round, cast on using the tubular method, knit German short rows, make increases (typically used for armholes), pick up and resume stitches, use the colorwork technique, and bind off using the Italian method. It is essential to be able to read charts, as the instructions for knitting the colorwork motif on the yoke are only provided in chart form.
CONSTRUCTION
This swoncho has a top-down construction, meaning it is started by knitting the neckline, continuing with the yoke, then separating the sleeves and body, and continuing to knit the body in the round. Afterwards, the sleeves are picked up and knitted in the round until the cuff. It is made in one piece, without any seams. It is knitted in stockinette stitch in the round, with a colorwork motif on the yoke. The body and sleeves finish with a ribbed trim.
