There are techniques that, once you understand them, change the way you knit forever.

Lace knitting is one of them.

Often, the blockage doesn't come from the technique itself, but from everything that seems to come with it: charts, symbols, repeats, yarn overs, decreases... and the fear of getting lost or not achieving the desired result.

This experience is born precisely for that reason.

To sit with me, the designer of Lalura, in our space, and finally understand how lace knitting works calmly, with needles in hand and with someone by your side who has been designing and explaining knitting for over 10 years.

It is not a design course.

It is not for absolute beginners, but you only need to know how to knit and purl stitches, with both circular and straight needles, and it doesn't matter if you knit English or Continental style.

It is an experience designed so that, from now on, you will be able to knit lace with confidence, understanding how it is constructed, how to read it, and how to correct mistakes.

What we will work on during the day

During the in-person training, we will practically and step-by-step address:

• how lace patterns are constructed and what decisions affect the result

• reading lace charts so they no longer intimidate you

• the technical keys to lace (yarn overs + decreases)

• tension control, needle and yarn selection

• how to detect and correct errors without frustration

• blocking and finishing: how to "finish well" a lace project and achieve the final effect

In addition, we will dedicate part of the workshop to addressing real questions and helping you apply what you've learned to your projects.

Note: the content and pace of the workshop will be adapted to the group's level to ensure a useful and beneficial experience for all attendees.

Between stitches, you'll be in our Lalura space: a place designed to spend the day learning and enjoying, with tea, coffee, our homemade orange and chocolate cake, an included meal, good conversation, and an atmosphere that makes you learn more because you feel comfortable.

If you knit and have been thinking for a while: "lace knitting is resisting me", this day is for you.

And yes: it is exactly the type of experience that makes it worthwhile to come to A Coruña even from out of town (there are flights from Madrid and Barcelona to arrive early and return late).

Cancellation Policy · Lalura Experiences

Lalura Experiences are in-person training sessions with very limited spaces and specific planning. For this reason, we apply the following cancellation policy:

Cancellations more than 14 days before the experience date:

100% of the amount will be refunded.

Cancellations between 14 and 7 days before the experience date:

50% of the amount will be refunded.

Cancellations less than 7 days in advance, or no-show on the day of the experience:

no refund will be issued, as the space cannot be reassigned with such short notice.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person, notifying us in writing beforehand.

In the event that the experience has to be canceled by the organization due to force majeure, a full refund of the amount will be issued.

Minimum number of attendees

Lalura Experiences require a minimum of 5 attendees to take place.

If this minimum is not reached, the experience may be canceled by the organization.

Registered participants will be informed as far in advance as possible.

In this case, a full refund of the amount paid will be issued.

Lalura is not responsible for expenses derived from travel, accommodation, or other costs associated with attendance.

The purchase of a spot implies acceptance of this policy.
