PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE
To knit this top/vest, you need to know how to knit knit and purl stitches, knit in the round, make decreases, the long-tail cast-on, the Italian bind-off, and the grafting technique.
CONSTRUCTION
This is a bottom-up top/vest, meaning it's knitted from the bottom up. First, the ribbing is knitted, then the body is knitted in the round up to the armholes, where the front and back are separated and knitted flat until the shoulders, which are closed using the grafting method. A small finish is made on the remaining stitches for the neckline, and finally, stitches are picked up and knitted in rib stitch to finish the armholes.
