PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE
To knit this sweater, you need to know how to knit knit and purl stitches, knit in the round, cast on stitches using the tubular cast-on (not essential, you can cast on using another method), make increases (the ones typically used for armholes), knit following a chart, pick up and re-mount stitches, bind off stitches using the Italian method (not essential, you can bind off using your preferred method). It is essential to know how to read charts, as the instructions for knitting the motif of the different parts are given only in chart form.
CONSTRUCTION
This sweater has a top-down construction, meaning it is started by knitting the neckline, continued through the yoke, then the sleeves and body are separated, and the body is continued knitting in the round. Finally, the sleeve stitches are picked up and also knitted in the round. It is made in one piece, without any seams. It is knitted with a basic motif based on knit and purl stitches.

1 (2, 3, 4, 5). Choose your size by measuring your bust circumference or that of a sweater you like how it fits.

25 stitches and 34 rows for a 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4"] swatch in sweater pattern, unblocked.
24 stitches and 32 rows for a 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4”] swatch in sweater pattern, blocked.

NEEDLES
3.5 mm [US 4] circular needles with 40 cm [16"] cables for the neckline and 80 cm [32"] for the body, or those needed to obtain gauge.
3.25 mm [US 3] circular needles for casting on and for the ribbing, if necessary.

1 stitch marker for the beginning of the round, 8 markers for increases, darning needle for weaving in ends.

USE AND WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
