ABOUT THE VEST TOP
PREREQUISITE SKILLS FOR KNITTING XULIÁN
To knit this vest, you need to know how to provisionally cast on stitches, knit stitch, bind off stitches, make yarn over increases (the ones typically used for armholes), pick up stitches, and knit flat.
CONSTRUCTION OF XULIÁN
This vest is constructed top-down with no seams. It begins by knitting the neckline with a provisional cast-on, continues with the back, leaving the stitches on hold when a sufficient length for the armholes is reached. Then, the provisional cast-on is resumed to knit the neckline part of the button band, followed by picking up stitches at the shoulders, resuming these stitches, and knitting the fronts separately, but they can be done simultaneously, depending on the knitter. Once the necessary length up to the armholes is reached, the 2 front pieces and the back are joined, and the vest is continued to be knitted until the bottom edge.

CONSTRUCTION
This collar is knitted side-to-side, starting from one end with a 7-stitch strip, growing towards the bottom center, and then decreasing back to 7 stitches. The second strip is knitted, and the 7 stitches are bound off.
