ABOUT THE VEST TOP
PRIOR KNOWLEDGE FOR KNITTING XULIÁN
To knit this vest, you need to know how to provisionally cast on stitches, knit, bind off stitches, make increases (the ones normally used for armholes), pick up stitches and knit flat.
XULIÁN CONSTRUCTION
This vest is knitted top-down without any seams. It begins by knitting the neck with a provisional cast-on, then continues with the back, leaving the stitches on hold when a sufficient length for the armholes is reached. Next, the provisional cast-on is resumed to knit the neck part of the button band, and then stitches are picked up on the shoulders to knit the front pieces separately, though they can be done simultaneously, depending on the knitter. Once the necessary length up to the armholes is achieved, the 2 front pieces and the back are joined, and the vest continues to be knitted down to the bottom edge.

CONSTRUCTION
This collar is knitted side to side, starting from one end with a 7-stitch strip, growing towards the lower center, and then decreasing back to 7 stitches. The second strip is knitted, and the 7 stitches are then bound off.
